Living Toward a Vision: Cities, the Common Good, and the Christian Imagination

All human action derives from a vision of some sort, and the Christian vision is one on offer; it puts the common good at the center. In our present context with peak oil in the offing we need urgently to rethink our understanding of city living and especially of the relation of city and country. The Transition Town movement is one very helpful way of thinking about doing that.
